On Saturday, I gave designing daddy grief for pawning off business papa’s old TV to one of their housekeepers. Then on Sunday, busy daddy cleaned out the bookcase in his home office and brought out stacks and stacks of old magazines that he was planning to throw out. I said, It seems like a waste to just get rid of those. Busy daddy asked, “What do you think we should do with them instead?” I said, Maybe ask the nanny if she wants them. So busy daddy asked the nanny if she wanted them and remarkably, she said yes. What our nanny plans to do with 10-year-old copies of Wallpaper, Artforum and WIRED magazines is anyone’s guess, but somehow it seemed better than simply tossing them into recycling, right? Bueller? Anyone?
