After working at home, busy daddy and I took the boy to the local farmer’s market in town. We’ve lived here for more than 10 years, but we’ve never actually been to the farmer’s market because it’s usually closed by the time we get home from work. As these things go, this market is small, with just a few tents. But the produce is lovely and (mostly) locally grown. We got heirloom tomatoes, yellow squash, peppers, and fresh basil, among other veggies, as well as locally made crab cakes, fresh mozzarella cheese, steaks and a berry pie.
