Because we’re lazy and predictable, we decided to go back to Origin for lunch today. Yes, it’s the same place where we had dinner last night. The lunch menu is slightly different from the dinner menu, but just as delicious and much less expensive. The joint was surprisingly busy for a late Saturday lunch. The boy had the creamy mushroom and corn soup, as well as the beef soup with veggies and rice noodles (featuring a rich beef stock that was unusually—but pleasantly—vinegar-y), while busy daddy had an appetizer salad and the spicy chicken with string beans. As usual, I got the best dish of the day: pad kee meow (which is a wide rice noodle dish) with shrimp and chicken. Yum!
