After dropping off the boy for his weekend with the nanny, busy daddy and I got haircuts at the local barber, then went to the movies to see Rise of the Planets of the Apes. I thought the movie was pretty good, but busy daddy was expecting more. Watching the movie reminded me that James Franco is actually a good actor and not just a professional goofball.
After the movie, busy daddy and I got to spend time together without the kid, which was fun and weird, like our pre-parenting days. Still, I missed the boy.
Later, I met my brother in the city for dinner at Shilla, a Korean barbecue joint near Penn Station. We both remarked that the bulgogi was especially good tonight. Our clothes ended up smelling like Korean barbecue all night long. Good, if you’re into that kind of thing.
